I think this makes a lot of sense. If you're unhappy with the results of the current election (and I am), it's time to look to the future -- and I'm convinced that one important thing is for moderate and progressive-leaning individuals to fight at the local level. I'm thrilled that Steve Simon won for the MN State House, and that more movement happened there for the DFL generally. And I think the goal has to be quite simple -- fight at the local level; supporting the progressive issues we care about there, and try to take back the MN State Legislature in 2006.
Lots of my friends are still angry -- but it really can't just be the one election at the top -- it needs to go all the way to the local level, as much as possible.
